What is CLOBEN G?

  • CLOBEN G contains Beclomethasone Dipropionate, Clotrimazole and Neomycin

What CLOBEN G is used for?

It is used,

  • to treat fungal skin infections
  • to help reduce the redness and itchiness of certain skin problems
  • to treat yeast infections of the vagina mouth and skin such as athlete's foot, jock itch and body ringworm

Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to CLOBEN G or any other ingredients of this medicine
  • have any areas of infected skin
  • have psoriasis or acne
  • have ever had an allergic reaction to a skin preparation
  • are elderly
  • have burns or infections in open wounds
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
  • Consult your doctor before applying this medicine
  • CLOBEN G will not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery

Tell your doctor if you are using:

  • capreomycin, teicoplanin, ancomycin, capreomycin, polymyxin, teicoplanin and vancomycin, medicines used to treat bacterial infections
  • cisplatin, medicines used to treat cancer
  • loop diuretics such as furosemide and etacrynic acid
  • amphotericin, medicines used to treat fungal infections
  • cephalosporin antibiotics (e.g. cephaloridine)
  • cyclosporin, medicines used to treat psoriasis or severe rheumatoid arthritis
  • colistin, medicines used to treat pneumonia 
  • tacrolimus, medicines used to treat eczema
  • Always apply this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Wash your hands before and after using this medicine
  • Avoid using CLOBEN G on your face, underarms (armpits) or groin areas
  • CLOBEN G is for external use only

If you stop using CLOBEN G

  • Do not stop using CLOBEN G without talking to your doctor first

Beclomethasone Dipropionate

  • burning and smarting
  • thinning of the skin, permanent stretchmarks, allergic contact dermatitis and hair growth at the site of application

Clotrimazole

  • rash
  • itching, blisters, burning, discomfort, irritation, redness or peeling of skin

Neomycin

  • sensitization or allergic reactions
  • irritation, redness, rash or itching
